Are you looking for a home in Jerez and don’t know where to start?

Tired of endless searches? The best homes often aren’t listed online.

Afraid of making the wrong choice? Local rules, hidden costs, poor-quality builds …

Worried about trust? Traditional agencies represent the seller, not you.

Overwhelmed by the process? Bureaucracy, language, culture … it can feel impossible.

Do you plan to renovate? You’re in luck.

“Marta helped us choose the right place for us, guided us through the purchasing process, then designed and managed all the renovations. She’s been such an inspiration!”

Hi, I’m Marta.

I’m an architect, buyers agent, and local Jerezana with a profound understanding of the beautiful city of Jerez.

I spent 13 years working as project manager in Switzerland. I know the challenges of adapting to a new culture, navigating bureaucracy and making big life decisions in a new country. Now I’ve come home and I’m ready to help you manage your own transition – buying or renting, setting up your new life in Jerez, even managing renovation projects, small or large.

What we love about Jerez

Flamenco, Feria and Fino

Just wait till you experience the culture of Jerez! There’s simply nothing like it. It’s the birthplace of flamenco, the equestrian capital of the world, and we make the world’s finest sherry (sherry is the English word for Jerez, after all). Jerez is beautiful, walkable, and the people are super friendly. You’ll be glad you made your home here.

Home hunting in Jerez – a case study

Bruce and Jess were already living in Jerez when I met them. They were renting an apartment just off one of Centro’s busiest little squares, and after only six months had decided that they loved the city and wanted to stay. They had narrowed their search down to two properties – a recently renovated, modern apartment just to the east of the city centre, and a unit right in the centre in need of renovation.

Two very different properties to choose from, both equally appealing in the clients’ eyes. But let’s look a little closer …

Renovating?

Let’s explore the possibilities.

Can you safely remove this wall? How could we get more light in here? How much would a new kitchen cost?

If you’re not familiar with Spanish building design it’s hard to know what’s possible and what’s not when it comes to renovating. Whether you already own a property or you’re thinking of buying, I can do an assessment and give you some ideas on how to alter your home so it’s just the way you want.

We can then use the assessment report to seek quotes from builders and fabricators. I’ll manage the process from start to finish and keep you informed every step of the way. Sticking to budget and timeframe is always front of mind.

Renovating a house – a case study

Bruce and Jess’s new house is one of a row of seven delightful units built in the grounds of a traditional old Jerezano palace dating back to 1861.

The units are far newer than that – completed in 2004 and therefore with all the mod cons – but still very much in the Andalucían style, with small rooms divided by thick walls. Being Australian, the couple were used to a more open plan way of living and we decided to make some changes.

In the time leading up to moving in, I drew up floor plans with details of the changes we wanted, and sought quotes for renovations and materials. We soon had everything ready to go. The builders began work two days after we got the keys.
