In this free 45-minute session you can tell me your story and help me to understand what you’re looking for. Do you plan to relocate permanently, or are you looking for a holiday home? What’s your budget? How many bedrooms will you need? Is dining out and going to flamenco shows your thing, or are you looking for the quiet life? Will you bring your car, or would you prefer to be able to walk to the shops? Are you looking for a new home, or are you looking to renovate? The answers to these questions (and dozens more) will help me work out how I can best help you.

Jerez is full of vibrant neighbourhoods, each with a different character. It’s a tangle of intriguing streets and hidden plazas packed with bars and restaurants. There are also suburban areas with larger homes, ideal for families who prefer a bit of space. And I know all about them.
When I understand what you’re looking for I’ll compile a list of properties for you to think about.
Some of the best properties aren’t on Idealista! I have a network of real estate professionals I can call on to help me with the hunt.
-
You’re curious, and you’d like a virtual tour. I’ll visit up to three properties, and either live-broadcast to you via video call or record a video with a little commentary to tell you what I think.
I’m an architect, so you can be sure I’ll know a lot more about what we’re seeing than another buyers agent might.
If you’re in a position to visit Jerez, let’s go inspecting together.

You’re in love. You’ve found your perfect home and you’re ready to make an offer. I’ll work on your behalf to negotiate with the owner and the agent to get the best deal possible.
It’s normal for the owner to be deeply involved in the process. They’ll commonly be at home during an inspection and be directly involved in discussions about the sale price.
With my local knowledge and architectural expertise you’ll know you’re getting what you pay for.
-
The first step is to meet formally with the owner and agent to sign some paperwork and pay a deposit to secure the property. During the meeting everything is explained. Of course it’s best if you can be there in person (with me translating), but if you can’t make it I’ll manage the process on your behalf.
In Spain, it’s normal to pay the deposit directly to the owners (typically around €15,000). If for any reason they renege on the deal, they are required to give you back double the deposit amount – so there are rarely any problems.
Then we wait until the agreed date for signing over the deed. During that time you’ll need to arrange insurance, power and water, an internet connection, register as a resident … all the annoying things that go with buying a property. If you’re not Spanish all this can be daunting – but I’m here to help at every step of the way.
You’ll be crossing the threshold of your new home in no time, stress free.
Let’s tear down some walls!

A case study
Bruce and Jess were handed the keys to their new house in Calle Porvera in the centre of Jerez in September 2025. It’s one of a row of seven delightful units built in the grounds of a traditional old Jerezano palace dating back to 1861.
The units are far newer than that, completed in 2004 and therefore with all the mod cons, but still very much in the Andalucían style – small rooms divided by thick walls. Being Australian, the couple were used to a more open plan way of living and we decided to make some changes.
In the time leading up to moving in, I drew up floor plans with details of the changes we wanted, and sought quotes for renovations and materials. We soon had everything ready to go. The builders began work two days after we got the keys.
